Sorry to say your words are wasted on him. Lium has a history of troublemaking, (e.g. he made many distinctly homophobic remarks that we eventually caught him for)
Because not having the newest OS = down on your luck?
Funny, I was raised to not waste time, money, and effort trying to fix something that isn’t broken. I guess I should waste more of my time and money on operating system that become obsolete after a few years, as the money I would be saving otherwise is not useful for anything else.
Perhaps I should trade in my car every year too, after all, a car that’s a year old is obsolete, and anyone who can’t afford a new one is down on their luck and shouldn’t visit a pony image-board that is completely free for people to use.
Windows 7 has been out long enough now that if you really can’t scrape up enough cash to buy it then something’s wrong, and you shouldn’t be spending your time looking at ponies if you’re so down on your luck.
I’m done talking about this, a brick wall’s a better conversationalist and I came here to look at ponies.
@Lium
More importantly, you may not realise just how many people on this site would not have access to the hundreds of dollars required. It’s certainly smarter to be able to pay bills than to have an up to date OS.
@Enkidu
98 has unsolvable memory leak issues; it simply cannot have a fraction of the uptime XP and other NT Windows before suffering serious performance degradation and loss of stability.
As well, lack of driver support for current hardware forces you to stick with older systems, and software support is currently close to non-existent.
XP still makes sense if you’re on the cheap or don’t care about fancy new things; at least it won’t bluescreen on you (as much).
@Lium
Why do you care? Who would waste their cash on one of the newer versions of windows, they just get bulkier every release, if anything it’s the smarter decision.
You really sound spoiled if you’re making fun of people because you have something newer.
I just need to find money to get the Doctor, the upcoming blind bag size figure packs, the Fluttershy and Derpy card boxes, the next set of Vinyl figures, the Monopoly board, the $25 plushies, the…

I don’t see why you wouldn’t use ’98, it uses considerably less resources than xp.
The smartest decision? Are you kidding? I don’t think I’ve ever heard a stupider sentence ever.
By that logic you might as well have stuck with Windows 98. It’s called “progress” and “moving on”.
And to answer your question, I don’t care. I was merely expressing disbelief at the fact someone has still not moved on beyond such a dated OS.
Come on Alicornless Twilight Sparkle! fingers crossed
>On an MLP imageboard

If only you know what irony was.

98 theme is clearly best.

At my operating system? Gimme a break, my computer is old. Sheesh. XD
