All three characters had the same, boring, smiley expression, so I was wondering what they might look like with other facial expressions. I think this art style could work out very well for g5.
That’s cool! I’m doing a little research to check if they were based off previous generations’ ponies in order to try to figure out their personalities (the Earth Pony is presumably the activist who wants to improve Equestria). Anyway, it’s an amazing job you did!
Heh, I wonder what the heck happened to my little research. Anyway, my predictions were wrong, so I don’t think it matters anymore.
@Vengir
Yes. Yes, it can! And there’s also the fact color schemes and Cutie Marks may change between generations. I have two possible examples: Whizzer and Dizzy Lizzy. Either one of them may be the inspiration for the unicorn (whose name supposedly is Izzy), but there are lots of differences between them.

It’s also a possibility.
I have a feeling they might have started from scratch with these designs. But, that’s just me.
Oh, and there’s the fact Whizzer is a pegasus and Dizzy Lizzy is an Earth Pony.

Trying to do that for Rainbow Dash could lead to some… inaccurate results.
