Season 4 opens on an angry mob screaming “Sic Semper Tyrranus!”
That she would become Celestia´s successor meaning most likely a princess was already known since S1. After all there´s a reason why Lauren went for 5 necklaces and one tiara with the elements of harmony.
And adding some wings or more height is no big deal given Twi´s new title. We know nothing of what will become of Twi or if she´s immortal or if she has new duties or new powers/power-up or if she has to live in Canterlot - we know nothing till S4 airs.
The opener will be about Twi´s fears and worries about her new position (and maybe about her new race too?), that much we heard from the MLP writers.
Just lay back, read fanfics, watch fanart/fanvids, discuss ponies, etc, and wait till we get S4 and hopefully more answers than new questions.^^
And Itsthinking, i think you should lay off the ones who don´t like Alicorn Twi/Princess Twi or both combinded. Just leave them in peace with their opinion. Opinions change after all, and we two might change ours after having seen part 2 and 3 of Twilicorn saga.
Who knows, she might lose her wings and/or title for all we know.
