Flurry Heart was the first baby alicorne and thus brought surprise to all the people of the Crystal Empire. Fortunately, her magic was quickly channeled through the traditional ceremony of the kingdom: the crystallizing. After that, she will learn to use her magic properly with Sunburst, who when she is old enough to go to school, will go to Starlight. She will be sent to Celestia’s magic school, now directed by Twilight and will often see Pound and Pumpink Cake, her two real friends, who appreciate her for her and not for her royalty. She will earn her cutie mark by protecting these, discover that her magic and crystal heart is bound. For example, if Flurry Heart gets angry, it makes appear a thick black fog of its horn and the heart in the kingdom takes the same color.
 
His adolescence was very disciplined, because Flurry Heart had to learn the bases of the army, in order to be the future leader. She adored excercises and crushed her opponents with great ease, who made her father laugh, recognizing herself in her. However, she remained a teenager like any other and did not hesitate to contradict her parents, especially her mother, who prevented her from being anything but a princess. During these disputes, she found Thorax in the Changeling kingdom, who listened to her complain of her royal obligations. Fortunately, this period quickly calmed down, and for his twenty years, Cadance sent her daughter on a long journey through Equestria, in order to know every culture and to keep peace with the different kingdoms. While their daughter was finally out of the house, Shining Armor and Cadance hoped to have some tranquility, but the castle gate opened, with a surprise called Cobweb Armor.

The relationship with Cadance, her mother has always been rather complicated. The latter instilled in her very early princess values and refused to meet other ponies, for fear that they would take advantage of the naivety of Flurry Heart. Fortunately, Twilight and Shining managed to convince her, and she allowed her daughter to go to her aunt’s magic school and continue to see the Cake twins. Cadance knew full well that her husband tended to go and see other mares, but she preferred to remain silent, so as not to traumatize her daughter.
 
Shining Amor was always very protective with his daughter, as he had been with his sister. He noticed early on that Flurry Heart had a good reflex and integrated it into the school of guard. She loved to fight with her father, but also with other guards, who were quite afraid of her. Shining has always been a role model for her, even though he had adventures with other mares than her mother, especially new recruits from the Royal Guard. Flurry Heart, who knew about it, preferred to keep this secret buried, so as not to hurt his mother !
 
Flurry Heart loves her Aunt Twilight ! She has taught her so much about friendship and magic, and she is one of the only ones to use her authority over her, in order to reframe her during her spoiled childhood outbursts. She spends many hours with her, even if she is not the protégé of the leader of Equestria, who prefers to take under her wing Spessartite, who did not have the same luck as Flurry Heart family side.
 
Her grandparents Twilight Velvet and Night Light cover her with gifts, being their first little girl. Moreover, they were proud to have a third alicorne and their preference for Flurry Heart is felt, to the detriment of Lustre and Jonagold. But apart from her aunt Twilight, no one tells her “no” in the family, which ends up tiring her, she who already has a big physical advantage over her cousins.
 
Thorax likes Flurry Heart since their first encounter and loves the mare she becomes. He understands her fears of becoming a leader, because he felt the same, when the Changelings elected him new leader. He appreciates the visits of the alicorne, who loves the culture of this kingdom and especially the beauty of their design. Although he is older than her, his mentality ages less quickly than that of a pony, allowing him to share many secrets with the young princess.
 
Pound and Pumpink Cake have been her friendships since childhood. Flurry loves cooking with Pumpink, who taught her the joy of simple things and the love of cooking. With Pound, the alicorne loves to fly long hours, making convertibles and figures, for the pleasure of having the wind of his mane. She likes the Cake family, who have always considered her one from their time, making her sleepovers with the twins from time to time.
 
It was on his return from the trip that Flurry Heart discovered her half-sister Cobweb Armor. This one possesses a little after her age, but difficult to know, given that it is half changeling. She moved into the castle and lives with her father, since her mother found herself locked in stone. The relationship between the two is quite complicated, given the jealousy of Cobweb Armor brings into the family.
