I agree with everything you just said.

I find pictures like this to be rather inspiring. My Little Pony will always have its target audience rooted in children and preteens. However, to me I enjoyed the show merely for the incredible things they done with it even while that was their target audience. With that said I find it important that the artist and writes in the fandom should be encouraged to imagine something not cannon. I would be so happy if more artist leaned toward equines. Jared Hodges and Lindsey Cibos made an adorable beyond cute character in the first book of Draw Furries. Its not so focused on mythological biology much less outside the realm of realistic cartoon art. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Seeing art like this where more anatomy of a horse is beautiful. I wish more people did this.
