I'm going to be hypocritical and say "yes, that's right."
( Actually it's not hypocritical; my position was that any official media not directly contradicted by the show could fairly be considered canon. Meanwhile, in all official media Zephyr's relationship to Rainbow Dash has been consistent with what has been portrayed in the show. Meaning for all intents and purposes, canon says you're wrong! )
