Description

Initially done as a quick doodle, decided to colour this since people seemed to like it.

Also got to have a try at those thick white outlines stickers usually have. I really like those for some reason…

Honestly, one of the greatest pieces of advice I got from someone whilst at uni was to collect colour palette swatches that I like. That’s where I start when it comes to oc pony colours. I’m also a big sucker for autumn colour themes, such as this. It was one similar to this that helped with choosing the initial colours for Bubble Pump in her bus driver uniform:

Someone is gonna have a fun beach da- WHY IS THAT PONY WEARING A BIKINI?!
Modesty. Wet, clingy pony coats are immodest!

Or that’s my reasoning, anyway… :P

I think part of Bob’s appeal is that he takes generic OCs and makes them visually interesting without resorting to a palette straight from Willy Wonka’s nightmares. He uses browns and greys and manages to make them fit in just fine and look nice in a world of candy-color ponies.
