She is the older kid of the Rarity family.  
Rarity always thought it was weird how seemed like she didn’t want friends.  
She loved being alone, so when school started, she started getting bullied, witch made her not want friends even more.
 
But when she got older (around 14 years old), she meet Lucy Moonrock, and she noticed that Lucy was also getting bullied so she tried to talk to her, and they got along very well.
 
Now she has a lot more of friends, but is still kind of scared of talking to other ponies, but she is very mature.
