A lot of the anti-maskers who make a lot of noise about their political affiliation seem to be Trump fans, so the association between the two has kinda taken root in people’s minds. That Trump is still holding no-mask, no-social-distancing rallies despite everything and still refuses to actually wear a mask himself isn’t helping combat the impression that he isn’t taking the virus seriously either.
As for the other part, anti-maskers of ANY political affiliation are a plague on this country in a near-literal sense, and anyone who won’t cover their face should be ashamed to show it in public. Left-wong anti-maskers are no better than right-wing anti-maskers.
Not trying to debate, (and I don’t adore Trump) just saying…
