The sheer legal storm that would follow would probably cause more damage than good. Companies would finally see a threat to there products and since they have lots of money, would push back with the force of an atomic explosion.
Someone mentioned porting the character models and movesets into MUGEN, a fan-made fighting game where you can export all kinds of characters. It’s also known for being REALLY unbalanced because you have so many characters from different games.
What a fucking ridiculous double standard.

Correct — into he category of being completely owned by the copyright holder. They don’t crack down on fanartists because doing so will costs them money and artists don’t have enough dosh for it to be a gain for anyone. A large fan project is a big difference.
Replace the standard ponies with their anthro/humanized equivalents. Hasbro owns the trademarks to neither. Maybe the names. That’s about it.
Unless you meant my response to putting them into MUGEN. That’s pretty self-explanatory. :p
