At this part she is fighting Spike and Rarity, where they were just getting the upper hoof on her, and Chrysalis gets so desperate to win as she angrily tries to blast them with everything she’s got.
@HIEfan36
Still stupid. This is fiction, not written laws and constitutions.
Even non-fiction are generally more care about accuracy and authenticity than mere quality, because “quality” is in the eyes on the beholder, not dictated.
Just accept that lots of things will not reach your expectations and move on. You can rewrite or giving ideas to improve said “bad writing” if you want to. I’m sure there’s lots of them doing just that.
@HIEfan36
No one will take a case this idiotic. If you wanna write an AU where things go right, go nuts, but the outcome you’re looking for can’t be legally enforced.
@AC97
Who said anything about putting anybody in jail?. What we want is for their work to be discarded and redone by people who were actually good at their jobs, like Meghan McCarthy.
(lol, but really though, great satire aside, it can’t be overstated enough how you’re not in a free country if subjectively bad fictional writing is remotely criminal in the legal sense, unless copyright infringement was involved.)
I’m surprised with how long it took for someone to upload this, in any case (it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth, how the first anonymous commenter seems to have criticized OP for uploading this, when it’s as innocuous as an unedited screencap).
For something that’s a trivial observation (that doesn’t really bother me), interesting how this part had Chrysalis’ tongue as forked, yet immediately upon portalling to the Mane Seven (that’s including Spike), she had a rounded tongue while licking her lips.
She did have the correct forked tongue at least a few other times, including when petrified. Wonder if any of that involves reusing assets for convenience or something.
I love how none of the comments here have anything to do with the image itself. It’s just two people trying to defend a stupid petition and everyone else calling them out on it.
It’ll be made right when the plot isn’t so stupid there is consistent world details and characterization again.
…riiiiight.
You bet we’ll sue if and when we have to. I’m sure there are plenty of lawyers who are part of the fandom or will take up our case anyway.
On what groundsISN’T this a frivolous lawsuit that will be laughed out of the courtroom, the plaintiff forced to pay all court costs? What law has been broken here?
Think about this for an outside perspective. If it’s not going to happen with GoT Season 8… do you think for a moment it’ll work with MLP, which has less of a fanbase? If you do, you are delusional.
This may be an unprecedented movement, but maybe it’s the start of something new. Maybe it’s time to stop letting bad writers ruin good shows.
What’s the crime being committed with writing you personally don’t like? No, really? Where’s the line drawn? Do you sue people for writing bad fanfiction? Writing bad books? Bad movies?
It would be disgusting if that ever became a thing. I would never want to live in that world.
And once enough people get nostalgic or come down from their fangasms and realize how terrible this season was, we won’t be a vocal minority anymore.

If thay were the case, I’d have been in jail 4 years ago.
Also very true.
Even objectively bad fiction writing being a criminal offense would have dire implications.

Actually no one cares about her tongue
…kinda sorry about that, lol.

Error noticed. Correction made.

How presumptuous of you.

That would happen, but just being laughed and not at court
Pursue this case, and you will be laughed out of court.
It only starts off with a threshold of 100 signatures. That’s supposed to change when it gets higher.
You can laugh about it if you want, you just making something funny anyway. Internet trolls do that.

Imagine thinking you have a case here worthy of litigation.

Yes, trying to make someone see how stuck on stupid they are when they’re this stuck is a waste of time.
