It’s a cartoon?
The point stands. It became little more than a title the further it went. And as I said it was done sparsely early on. Some clever way to do things offscreen and edit them together, or doing more simple tasks that didn’t require fine motor skills unless you were Rare was typically the case. Later on they threw all that to the wind and just started doing more often what they did on occasion.

First of all the writer’s don’t control how the animators make ponies hold things.
and hoof hold was in the earlier seasons as well
This question should be all over the later portion of the FiM series. It’s like the writers forgot they were ponies in spite of the way they spoke. It eventually became nothing more than a title with no real significance, especially with their hooves having more dexterity than a human hand, which was done sparsely in the first season.
Same way as Aj held the marshmallow sticks :P
