It definitely helps too that Shining Armor hardly seems like the kind of guy who would finish off a foe even if he got lucky and managed to defeat them :P
“Are you kidding? Do you know how hard it is to find somepony who doesn’t start blasting spells at me the first chance they get? You’re the first pony in ages to actually talk to us…”
“Twilight Sparkle.”
“Well, Twilight. You’re a much better conversation partner than most around here. And way better than those idiots in the Royal Guard.”
“Hey! My brother is in the Royal Guard!”
“Unicorn colt? White coat and blue mane?”
“… How did?”
“We’ve met. He’s tried to kill us several times now. Let me tell you something, Twilight. Mare to mare.”
“What?”
“He lost. Every. Single. Time. I’m hardly the toughest creature around or even in this castle. If he can’t even beat little ol’ me. Then he would never survive what lurks in this place.”
“… Then why let him go? As much as I love him, Shining never knew when to quit.”
“Because he’s so fun to tease! Plus maybe one day he will actually do what he set out to do. But I doubt it.”
Giggle.
True, very true. I don’t see any argument there.
Fine, then I’ll just deal with it myself. You don’t suppose Celestia will mind if I build a wall, do you…..?
There’s not a whole lot she can do about it. Most of them live outside Equestria’s boundaries, or really don’t do enough “wrong” to deserve intervention in the first place :P
Hi, I’m a ling.
Is nopony gonna report any of this to Princess Celestia?!
I love “Circle of Moon,” the GBA games are great.
Though, I’d say it’s more “Metroidvania” then “Classic” style Castlevania, though it did bring back the classic whip, which I liked.
I really got into Circle of the Moon on the GBA. It’s styled like the old style insanely hard ones, but the difficulty’s dialed way back. Actually, all three of the GBA ones are really good. They have one that’s full SOTN style (Aria of Sorrow), one that’s old-style, and one that’s sort of between the two (Harmony of Dissonance) :D
I do, play other game genres.
Me too. I also like the butthard classic sidescrollers too. “Castlevania: Rondo of Blood” is my favorite. (So yeah, I knew who Richter Belmont was BEFORE he got into Smash Brothers. lol)
Edited
If you just google “Metroidvania” you’ll find a bunch of good ones. Bloodstained is a really good one to start, and you can get it off of Good Old Games completely DRM-free. One of the characters is voiced by David Hayter who played Snake in Metal Gear Solid :D
@Beau Skunky
What I like about them is you can basically play them however you want. You can level up, scrub your way through with powerful weapons, do low-level runs, whatever :D
You’d be surprised how many hours you could clock into a sidescrolling “Metroidvania” genre style game, as they do tend to focus on exploration.
And believe me, some sidescrollers, especially Castlevania are quite challenging too. I think you should try other game genres besides FPSes, as there are other good games out there.
Edited
I don’t know any of those games, I only heard some of them and I like FPS cuz they’re challenging, especially in the multiplayer. Also because they usually feature futuristic stuff or other things that would make you play for hours, but side-scrolling games? I think they’re OK, I actually played some before and they were good, but for these ones, I’d need to play them myself to give a proper rating to be fair.
They’re similar nowadays to the side-scrolling Metroid series. They even coined the name “Metroidvania” for that style of game, where you just explore this huge area and finding new abilities allows you to access new areas. If you like Shantae, it’s the exact same type of game. Bloodstained and The Mummy Demastered are both very good as well; Bloodstained is made by the original maker of one of the Castlevanias so it’s like a spiritual sequel, and The Mummy Demastered is an adaptation of the 2017 movie that is way WAY better than the movie :D
@Changeling17
I would like FPS’s, but I’m terrible at aiming them. Pretty much the only ones I can get into are the old simplistic ones like Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem, Hexen, or ones like Fallout where you have the VATS aiming thing :D
Too bad :(
I like anything that’s not an FPS.
OK, I’m not interested though. I’m into FPS games, Like Fallout and others similar to Call of Duty.
Edited
I like the game series. They have a cheap collection game out now for all consoles, and PC.
Oh OK, sounds like a fun game.

Castlevania is a traditional action/adventure/platformer series, with some games featuring RPG-ish elements.
The series is well known for adapting many classic Hollywood, mythological, folklore monsters from around the world as it’s enemies, with Count Dracula himself as the main villain, while a hero or heroes usually of the Belmont family bloodline arises to stop Dracula’s evil schemes.
Oh OK, what kind of game is it?
Specifically they’re an enemy from the Castlevania series. Even in their pixel art they’re pretty easy on the eyes :D
OK… Dang it, I already saw that tag and I forgot.
