You can get adapters to work with NATO’s Stanag threads. (Also people are now starting to make working NATO to GOST adapters you can in turn use NATO filters on old Soviet and Warsaw Pact masks.) But yeah, this isn’t like that, although it does share some similarities. My guess is the artist probably just designed their own on the fly, which is really cool actually. But yeah this is sort of a full face respirator, I don’t think the goggles are separate like on the 6200. It would be really cool actually if 3M made one just like this, that natively worked with NATO NBC/CBRN filters, at an affordable price with none of the costs associated With panoramic lenses, modern day military radios, etc. Maybe  
have a hydration tube port and maybe a simple voice diaphragm, if it could be done both durably and cheaply, which it probably could. Still, this would strike a really nice balance between the badass look of old masks like the XM28 or the scary look of a GP-5, and the silly, unimposing look of most modern day respirators.

This image puts such a smile on me though. I deliver Meals on Wheels for our apartment complex. We’ve switched from daily deliveries Monday thru Friday, to having boxes of 10 delivered every 2 weeks, as a Coronavirus protection measure. I wear my full face respirator every time I go out now.

I have always loved the combination of Derpy + gas masks/respirators, and I am really happy it is finally getting some community love.  

What kind of gas mask is that? The eyepiece looks pretty nice and big, as long as it isn’t prone to being easily damaged. Having 2 filters is cool as well. I only have a couple GP-5s myself, but I’ve been wearing them to the grocery store and streamed on YouTube with one the other day for a few minutes.
