Nah that wasn’t my intention. And genetic inbreeding in horses doesn’t work the same as in humans. I mean if you inbreed too much with horses it can get bad, but it’s all about isolating certain genes and stuff. So if you have a horse with a natural affinity to arthritis or something of the sort, you don’t breed it with a horse that shares that same trait, related or not. Animals tend to have a lot more wiggle room with inbreeding and it happens a lot in the wild as well. (For reference I grew up on a couple farms and had to do some equine studies when I was little, but I am by no means an expert). Also also, I don’t apply inbreeding outcomes to the fictional pastel ponies because they’re not real and therefore don’t have to be affected if I don’t want them to be.

Oh. I actually assumed the porportions were off on purpose because to show that they were all a bit genetically affected. Incest does down the line eventually become something you can spot with just a look at someone. So that’s what I thought was going on here. Kinda makes me prefer them with these porportions.

I gotcha. In that case, here’s something else to take back with you to the drawing board: make the males and females look a bit more different from each other so that way I can tell without having to read the information that they are the sex they’re supposed to be unless looking androgynous is supposed to be the idea for a given character.

And yes, looking at the base image, you’re correct. The base image makes them look way more appealing, and fittingly enough, it’s exactly because they look more in line and proportion for characters of their age and sex from the show.

It’s the proportions. While I understand it may be difficult to get down to an art, their faces and their legs just aren’t right and could benefit from more closely resembling those vector images directly from the show you’re using for their parents.

could you elaborate on what makes them ugly? I tried my best to follow genetics and stuff shown in the show, but I’m always looking to improve! Also, they look a lot cuter in the simple Base image that I did of them.

Idea is good, but the kids are ugly as fuck! Incest doesn’t work if the people involved are ugly AF!
