Yep, I could see Chrysalis relationship with Tirek and Cozy something like
 
“NO! We are not friends.”
 
“We only found a common ground and managed to work together quite well. I’m comfortable around them and even have fun sometimes hanging out with each other. Also when we pulled off some evil scheme together it felt great. I eventually learned to trust them and I feel a lot of better now to know there is somepony to be there for me.”
 
“BUT WE ARE NOT FRIENDS!”

I think Cadance would eventually forgive Chrysalis, but you are right, it would be more than appropriate for Chrysalis to back up her effort by some good deeds.
 
I don’t know what exactly since Chrysalis is really good at fighting or planing, but I guess some community service could work.

I get your point, but this wasn’t meant to be taken too seriously. The comedy element is that Chrysalis is put on the spot without much experience and tries to get along with other ponies.
 
Also, it would be a good punishment for her. She wouldn’t like it and at the same time, she would be rehabilitating herself.

Cadance sat on her throne with her gaze fixed on the former changeling queen standing before her.
 
Chrysalis sat on her haunches, her head lowered, her ears drooped.
 
Princess of Love signed. “Is there something you would like to tell me, Chrysalis?” she said after a few moments.
 
The changeling sucked in a harsh breath. “… I’m,” she began, gritting her teeth. “… I’m.” Chrysalis took a brief moment to pause, squeezing her eyes in concentration. “I’m s… sor-” she abruptly clenched her jaw.
 
Few moments passed in silence and Cadence arched an eyebrow. “Go on,” she said. “Hopefully we will get there before a new year.”
 
“I’m sorr-” Chrysalis tried before she stopped again in the last second.
 
Cadence rolled her eyes. “Are you trying to say that you are sorry for what you did to me?”
 
Chrysalis stared at her for a heartbeat. “… yes,” she said with a sharp hiss, lowering her voice.
 
“You really need to work out on your social skills, Chrysalis.”
 
“Hey!” protested the changeling, poiting a hoof accusingly at the pink pony. “Don’t rush me. I’m entirely new into this friendship thing, you know.”

Sounds like a great idea. Especially since the two ponies she once targeted will have to be watching her. I’d also like to see Tirek and Cozy accompanying Chrysalis just to play off of her reactions.

While I think some of her pride is legit, it does seem like she shows vulnerability whenever communication that’s not explaining her plans or anything to boost her ego is presented to her.

I think that socializing with other villains from Legion actually made some positive aspects of that. Like I think she would be more socially capable pony if she would spend more time with them, maybe.

I think she’s too used to being in charge and giving orders. It would be hard for her to talk with someone on an equal footing.

I think the Chrysalis is socially awkward even as a villain. She speaks confidently when she is in the position of power or she is scheming but I think she would struggle with small talk or casual conversation.

Yeah, I think she might be. Release Chrysalis from the stone on probation, dump her in the Crystal Empire (there should be enough concentration of love so she wouldn’t hungry) and let her learn how to get along with ponies. You could get a lot of comedy from this.
