luna still departs her body at the end of my version,calling BJs soul back into it as a parting gift’ at least the current one i had one version where there two souls fused together creating a being that was an amalgam of blackjack and luna…lunajack was an….interesting pony to be sure, as for the starmetal its still meteoric metal with unique and distinct magical properties, with the machine being the largest chunk of it ever found, the moonstone reaction that makes folly work and horizen too is unique to the machines specific starmetal ‘enchantment’ likewise for its life draining properties where as the properties of black jacks sword (which in my version she retrieves…also no broken sexy either, blackjack worked hard for that damn gun, she deserved to fucking keep it!) allows it to slice thru nearly anny other material thus making it ideal for destroying enchanted items that otherwise would be unbreakable

Dawn deserved a better redeption arc, indeed.  
Your idea of the Eater been just the machine that healed the Legate has potential. The Enervation could be the machine sapping the life and life magic of the Hoof and rerouting it to the Legate. But that would leave the question of what starmetal is, because Blackjack’s sword is different from the Eater’s metal, and wasn’t affected by the moonstone.
 
Quick question, if she doesn’t loose her original body, but still had the corrupting soul of Luna inside, wouldn’t she turn into Luna eventually?

theres a number of things I changed some cosmetic others critical  
most notibly, the soul eater? deleted utterly and completely that plot thread mad utterly no sense…thus i made the legate the actual final big bad and the machine nothing more then a tool that he was weilding and the source of not only his power, but his immortality (the machine was powering the talismen keeping him alive remotely) thus the way to take him out is to take it out…project horizens is still the means of doing this but its simply a weapon with no god or anything stuck inside it, yes a weapon far too strong for what was needed  
those were the core plot thread changes, i also expanded the story between glory and her mother a bit giving the mechanical deva a proper redemption arc within the third act  
so its less of a heal turn…a certain centurions fate and the means to it remained largely unaltered i found his ending quite fitting  
i sniped out alot of the unnecessary and silly fatalities during the progression too big daddy still ‘sacrificed’ himself but most of the other deaths don’t happen, including glory and p21, both survive in this instance, glory does still get badly injured during the moon launch event but while she does loose her one remaining wing she doesnt die, and in my version of the epiloge she gets prostetics like calamity did in the originals epilog….theres more but you can kinda get what i was going for…more action, more charicter development, less gloom and dooom….and black jack doesnt loose her shiney mechanical body this time around…technicly her fully cybernetic body still makes her immortal so she still has to deal with that but she will have a better support net for it as a result…to go into further detail id basicly have to write out the whole thing and post it on fimfic…im always tweaking it too some versions have some charicter deaths still happend, i played with a situation where blackjack had to chose between glory and p21 at one point leaving one to die and saveing the other, and what the ramifications for each choice might be.

Could you tell what changes did you make to the third act of Project Horizons? One of the criticisms of PH was that Somber didn’t fully explore some of the stuff he presented.  
It’s for you and you alone, but I’d like to know more about other points of view (If you want to share) :)

That was one of the things she wanted,yes.  
i wrote out alternate endings for both foe and project horizens in my head cause i prefer a happier ending.
 
the former is silliness and power fantasy for pip in raw form and breaks the lore something feirce, but i still get a giggle and a smile out of it  
the later takes the entire third acto of horizens and reworks it from the ground up…i go back and tweak it whenever i feel the urge, but its for me and me alone i may not like how somber ended there story  
but its still there story, not mine so yeah.

Wasn’t that what Blackjack wanted in the first place? Beat the Wasteland.

while i agree, poor blackjack paid a higher price then was nessiary..
 
to loose everything then be trapped in an ageless shell bound by a promise not to take her own life in a world growing more peaceful by the day her only companions an ageing demialicorn, a fledgling goddess of chaos and maybe one formerly broken alicorn though its not stated outright…oh and rampage

oh im not complaining far from it, it always made my heart ache that fate tore this erstwhile family apart like it did…seeing them together like that makes me think of some alternate world where things happend diffrently, maybe not better…but with a happier ending for all involved
 
also so there are, im so used to it being drawn as 2 rows of 10 with the 21st being the start of a third row that it threw me off

I just couldn’t figure out how to make it ‘canon’ with all characters involved.  
Also, P-21 has 21 dots.  
They’re three rows of seven dots.

the reason why lies with boo…this scene is canonically impossible by the time boo was smart enough to understand even enough for that response, lacunea would have been ‘dead’ for awhile already having defused her memories into the splintered alicorns following the goddess death her shell becoming the vessel for the restored soul of psalm
 
also you gave p-21/justice too many dots, there should be exactly 21 hense his designation
