Honestly, I feel like the writers made her very powerful and talented, but they gave her a very poor origin story. I feel like it doesn’t fit her personality.

They may have put that Sunburst only used her to pass exams and enter Celestia’s school. I’d even choose the backstory that the writers gave Sci-Twi.

I like Starlight Glimmer from My Little Pony as a villain. While I will never agree with her starting a cult and removing everypony’s uniqueness, I can relate to her being bitter over losing a friend. Coming from someone who doesn’t have many friends and even lost friends, I can see why Starlight went crazy and became a total bitch.
