Description
I was in the mood for drawing some pony-dragon crossbreeds, so I basically designed some concepts for the love children of Spike and Rarity.
This may be proof I have lost my mind.
Anyway, these designs were thought up by me, and not based on anyone else’s ideas, so if your designs look similar to any of these, I can assure you that it is a coincidence. Here’s some info on the characters themselves:
The light blue one on the far left is Frostfire. He’s the quietest out of the three siblings, but that doesn’t stop him from not being ignored by his family. Like his mother, he possesses a keen eye for detail, and likes to make sculptures out of gems by ornately stacking them on top of one-another and carefully gluing them together.
The one in the middle is Ruby Stone, or just Ruby for short. Being the only sibling born with wings, she was a bit of a handful when she was little. She got better as she got older, though she can still be tough to keep grounded. She’s got the most-fiery personality of her two brothers, making it easy for her to keep up with them. She related a bit more with her dad than her mom when she was young, but opens up to her more as she gets older.
As for the last one, I’m still contemplating a good name for him. I’m thinking something like Needles, or Thimble. If anyone’s got any ideas or opinions, let me know what you think! As for his personality, he’s definitely the most dragon-like of the three siblings. He’s a bit reckless with his fire breathing, which has gotten him in trouble before. He doesn’t quite get why his brother would rather make art out of gems than eat them, but he supports him nonetheless.
I like to think that the three were born as a set of triplets, mostly because I can’t decide on which one would be oldest and youngest, despite the fact that a dragon and a pony having foals that also happen to be fraternal triplets seems seriously improbable :P. Ah well, that’s the beauty of the Internet for ya! Just about anything goes! Hope you enjoy these guys! I’m likely going to make some more art of them in the future!
