It’s Cutie Mark Crusader day over on Equestria Daily. Such an event prompted this piece. Our beloved “Cutie Mark Crusaders” have grown slightly and are on the quest of self discovery. Old enough to leave home on their own, they arrange to pay a visit to their friend Babs in Manehattan. Babs is a young entrepreneur who has opened a salon studio on the outskirts of her neighborhood. Sweetie Belle has grown out her mane slightly and Applebloom is a total doll, therefore doesn’t need to change a bit. Scootaloo of course is a G, so she sports a pair of Rainbow Dash inspired shades.
 
What do you suppose the conversation is about in the above works? Perhaps it’s just small talk, catching up on many moons that have passed. Maybe Babs is admitting she fire bombed the building next to them for heckling her and the salons employees. Criminal acts indeed have a way of lowering rent.
 
On a personal note, I do wish to continue doing fan illustrations. I’ll need to find a way to better myself. A couple of those goals are to develop a style and a strategy to achieve consistency. Also, I own two drawing tablets that I do not use. Perhaps if I practice, I could get the hang of them. Currently I manually sketch everything. If I could functionally use a tablet, possibilities would be endless.
