That is IDW Entertainment not IDW Publishing which is the arm of the company that we are worried about. Even if IDW Entertainment completely failed the rest of the company is profitable as the article you linked said. As long as they aren’t complete idiots who sacrifice everything for the Entertainment wing of the company we are fine. Worst that would happen would be they split off IDW Publishing as its own thing and dump the entertainment side.

I didn’t even want them to crossover FIM with EqG, Pony should have been the one franchise where they left this sort of thing to fanfic and fan comics where it belongs.

Which is to be expected since people have been hostile towards Bronies from the start and get quite angry over the very concept that a show under the “My Little Pony” brand could possibly be any good. It’s been more then nine years but nothing changes.

Depends on where you’re looking. Pretty much all of the major TF channels I follow on youtube, twitter, etc., never really much went beyond “shit they’re finally doing it!”, probably because they’ve been teasing it for a long time now. Famously, Buzz Dixon, who worked on pretty much every Hasbro cartoon back in the 80s, tried to get a Transformers crossover with MLP to happen and was shot down pretty quickly. And now look where we are :p
