||My headcanon is that the grubs were kidnapped by Chrysalis and her goons from their real parents while at the same time brainwashes the grub so their mother is Chrysalis while the real parents are convinced that such action is “for their nation”. ||

There’s not too much to go off, but Thorax’ recollection of his childhood seems to indicate Chrysalis has given birth to dozens if not hundreds of eggs at a time. Pharynx probably wasn’t his only brother, just the one he formed a connection with. So the old changelings seem to function like a typical ant or beehive, with one queen laying eggs.
 
Things might have changed since There And Back Again, based on Ocellus’ account on Heartswarming. However, it’s somewhat clear that the changelings have begun to copy pony culture without understanding of the underlying motivations. It’s possible the family units such as Ocellus’ are paltry imitations that are entirely redundant, and do not serve any purpose towards economic security and reproduction. We don’t quite know what the reformed changelings’ lives are like, and I doubt Hasbro wants to go into depth about their reproductive habits at this point.
 
But regarding this particular pic, I wouldn’t be surprised if Chrysalis engaged in what would be incest to mammals. She needs subjects, her male population wants to fertilize a queen. It’s a win-win. Well, unless drones are exiled and culled by the workers after impregnating the queen. Then this drone is signing his own death warrant. Not that I believe it will stop him.

To be fair, we don’t know that for sure.
 
I mean some changelings have made family’s of their own and spawn their own offsprings by themselves.
 
So maybe the one she’s flirting with here is someone else’s son.
