The point of the picture is that we need Wind Whistler and Fizzy back. It would have been great to see them in G4. Maybe in G5?

Sure, though given that every past gen character got altered in G4, I wouldn’t look forward to the writers changing more classic characters.

As they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but unfortunately those writers don’t take that into consideration.
