This would, however, be one of the more likely outcomes of trying to engage with Chrysalis in physical combat, as a unicorn, even if no shapeshifting on her part: it’s a horrible idea, she’s just physically strong.
but what if this is the dream she’d have as part of being a statue, one wonders?(it goes to show why you don’t fight someone on their terms, at all)
Maybe that was step one and this is her disposing of Starlight before she has a chance to get free.
I’d be inclined to say an obedience spell that doesn’t overwrite their thought process, just the actions, would possibly be a workable alternative.
Having such a versatile pet would be kinda nice for her, wouldn’t it?
(Anyway, as for this, Chrysalis looks delightfully unhinged, with those crazed eyes and the look on her face. I’d always imagined that those jaws would be quite dangerous, be able to bite off say, a wing, at least)
