Heck, y’know the “Peace/Victory” sign Super Mario, Yoshi, Ash Ketchum, and other beloved game/anime characters always flash? That symbol is actually offensive in some cultures, and is similar to the “Bird.”

Unfortunately it’s now considered a genuine hate symbol because in the same article it says…
By 2019, the symbol was being used in some circles as a sincere expression of white supremacy. Australian white supremacist Brenton Tarrant flashed the symbol during his March 2019 courtroom appearance soon after his arrest for allegedly murdering 50 people in mosques in Christchurch.

Didn’t trolls actually jokingly convince a bunch of people the “OK” hand gesture was racist for awhile to show how gullible, overly-sensitive, & ignorant people are nowadays? (Must be quite a social experiment.)

In cases like Twiggie, it’s just a joke, (and with fictional races) she doesn’t promote racism, and actually makes racists look very stupid, or ridiculous.

As to how he “became racist,” it’s about as stupid (and as much a cognitive clusterfuck) as Pepe the Frog being a “symbol of anti-Semitism”.
