Of course it wasn’t the idea! She did not know that the pearl was a good idea to use against the Storm King and saved Equestria! She thought it was the only way to save Equestria from the Storm King and out an end to his reign or take him off the throne! If she does, she would have used the used to turn the Storm King into something even more terrible, dangerous, and tyrannical!
