Although that’s not really the panther from Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, I’ve been looking forward to mentioning his name for my MLP:FIM art. I’m really glad Fluttershy got to encounter Ahuizotl’s cats, and I had a feeling that she was going to get some kitty love from them. This black jaguar looks pretty friendly, even if he has such a ferocious overbite. And just like Flutters said, “Everycreature likes to be listened to. We just need to take the time to understand them.” Just another reason for Fluttershy to be loved by everypony, brony, and animal alike.

And speaking of Bagheera, I like to mention that after seeing the aforementioned black leopard in Walt Disney’s adaptation of The Jungle Book, and since he was a good character in black, it’s usually hard for me to see a character in black to be a villain or antagonist (plus, we had a black saluki to boot). Just a little fun fact to include.
