I like Sword Oratoria more than Danmachi but I love the both in the end because it is one big story, not two competing sides.

To some fans that like Equestria Girls more than the original series, some like it because of the whole Magic VS Realism spoof. I get it, a lot of stuff makes us question things and a lot of stuff has good theories/explinations. I can get why some people prefer Equestria Girls. The magic and spells are less flummoxing to viewers and stuff, and it gives an anime-style, slice-of-life atmosphere.
