Ohhh yeah, this is the second “Tales” series, isn’t it?
Some early-’90s animation looks very ’80s-ish.
@nuclear brony
This actually came out in 1992.
Depends on what it was. Ironically, nowadays some things censored in cartoons were perfectly fine back then, and vice-versa.
Actually they were. there was dumb censorship in the 80s as well
That was a great movie, and it was surprisingly adult for it’s time. The word “damn” was uttered too, as well as in the movie “Secret of NIHM,” and even the Disney movie the “Black Cauldron.” “Transformers the (animated) Movie”even had cuss words like “shit” included to ensure a PG rating. (Hasbro did it on purpose to get parents to watch the movie with their kids, so they’d become familiar with the characters/toys.)
As a kid, just hearing the word “damn” in a cartoon was “awesome.” Nowadays it’s done so much, cussing has lost it’s edge.
“All Dogs Go to Heaven” actually edited out the word “damn,” but you can still hear it on the soundtrack album on Youtube. (During the “Let me Be Surprised” song/segment.)
Sadly, the unedited version of the movie was stolen from it’s vault, and has sadly disappeared forever. It hasn’t even been leaked online.

Actually, I’ve seen The Last Unicorn pull of some… slight nudity in one or two scenes with the Harpy creature. Yet another reason why the 80s rocked.
Yeah, like Baxter Stockman almost getting killed by Krang in TMNT, (complete with the creepy visual of Baxter’s screaming “X-Ray sparks” look) the freaky nightmare fuel ghost designs in Real Ghostbusters, or a guy literally dying in an acid polluted swamp in “The Inhumanoids.” (And his bones/remains get collected in order to revive him.)

God, I Iove ’80s animation.
