As you stated Li’l Cheese’s gender was left open for interpretation so everyone is entitled to their own ideas and interpretations but I’m just curious, how come you both agree that Li’l Cheese’s gender is up for interpretation yet also state that you’re against the mere prospect that Li’l Cheese could be a male?

“Filly” stands for Young female ponies.  
“Colt” stands for Young male ponies.

Chimerism is very interesting. One case I heard was of a woman with her unborn twin’s uterus so that the woman wasn’t the biological mother of the child she birthed. I think I might be getting off topic…

Intersex is a possibility and yes I believe that is the correct term. If Li’l Cheese is intersex than maybe she would choose to present as a filly.
 
PS, horses can deviate from strict male/female one example of an apparent female that was actually a male

Honestly, I love this headcanon.

Li’l Cheese is genderfluid. Given his parents, even her gender is inconsistent and bends more to the rule of funny than the laws of physics. Pronouns used deliberately.

Meh. Looks like a filly to me.

One writer and the script

Literally only one writer said that they were male, they don’t speak for the entire show. Lil Cheese is whatever gender you want them to be, they’re just a placeholder child for those who wanted Pinkie to have a kid. They were never meant to be more than that.

Hopefully we can put an end to this debate now for good, but then again Gameloft could just be guessing based on his/her design rather than it being an official confirmation from Hasbro

Everyone has their own headcanons. I mean, Gameloft says Li’l Cheese is a female, but you can make her a male in AUs or something else.

The final version doesn’t have dialogue saying the character is female either. You are just assuming Li’l Cheese is a female based on appearance. While the script says otherwise.
 
And there’s lots of kids that can be mistaken for the opposite gender. Both in real life and in fiction.

So what? I mean sure, but apparently it’s not their final decision. Again the final version shows that PP’s child is actually a filly pinkie recolor, so at this point who cares about the original idea..
