My take on Garble, older of course.

I have this thing with dragons where I get progressively more and more annoyed if they aren’t anatomically possible, ergo Garble’s wings piss me off to no end. They are miniscule and tattered. There’s no fekkin way he could get his scaly d-bag hide off the ground with those flimsy chicken fingers he has in the show. So I made them a little better.

When he gets older he, alike many other dragons lose the proper posture and resort to quadropedal stance. He’s a big brute who grows out of his wings a little bit. He can fly, he’s just not very good at it. As he ages and gains more muscle mass in his neck and legs he’ll find it harder to maintain flight for longer periods of time. He’d become more of a gliding guy that uses his fifth/sixth limbs to make himslef look bigger in fights with other male dragons.
His teeth are no less messed up though. He has more of an underbite to accompany his previous overbite, but as a budding adult he began to grow a second row of teeth which makes his smile a little frightening.

Garble gave up his Jersey Shore-esque personality when he left adolescence. However it was replaced with apathy and laziness. Not that he can’t fight off any other dragon that comes in his territory and tries to snag some of his plunder or food. He has enough natural strength and power to make up for his pretty much sedentary lifetyle.

He still does not get along with Spike. Garble can still be a huge dick sometimes but he more or less keeps to himself, wishing to be left alone to sunbathe and/ or nap in his cave. Whenever Spike comes by he’ll spit a few gnarly remarks at him to make sure he knows he still keeps him in mind. Spike will actually worry if Garble says anything other than a passive grunt or half-assed insult.

As for Ember, he keeps nearby (he’s mostly just to lazy to move to another cave that’s farther from hers). There’s choice gems around and he can keep his position of an Alpha Male (second around only to the Lord herself) much easier if the opposers and challengers come to him. He and Ember are not romantically or even sexually involved. Any advances on his part would result only in catastrophe (in that he would have to adhere to dragon customs and overthrown her as Dragon Lord first Only then could he claim her as mate). Advances on her part would only result in all the other dragons seeing that as a sign of weakness and would swoop in one by one to try and usurp her. Besides, female dragon lords do not have offspring.
