That makes sense. Twilight has used mind control magic before, Fluttershy has The Stare, Applejack is generally the muscle of the team, and Pinkie likes hugs. Rarity and Rainbow Dash as venomous, I'm guessing is out of deduction? Although again, Rarity as a Diamondback would be a cute stealth pun.
