Marx may have been ethically Jewish but he was raised Lutheran. His father converted as a young man in response to rising anti-Semitic legal and political trends.
It’s pretty safe to assume he was anti-Semitic his entire life. Pretty much all of Europe was, had been for centuries. You’d have better luck finding someone who was born with three eyeballs than finding someone who wasn’t anti-Semtic. It took the horrors of WW2 to get most Europeans to stop and think, “You know, maybe all this blind hatred of Jewish people isn’t so great…”
Heck, Karl Marx came from a Jewish family and even HE was an anti-Semite.

I don’t think anyone really knows when he went bad, but he was raised in a nationalist household in a pretty nationalistic part of Germany in a time when it was fairly common for middle-class German youth to embrace Aryan nationalist ideals. You’d probably have to go pretty far back to find a time when Adolf Hitler wasn’t a xenophobic little shit.
