I don’t hate the review, I did enjoy it. It’s the movie being shown that made me say what I said. I mean, the scenes with the little girl screaming, the diaper scene, and the actor singing the My Little Pony song are what almost made me cringe. Yet, the abundance of MLP references seem like the best and only part I like.

Yeah, it’s very confusing sometimes. Some of his videos also miss the mark completely, like his cringy “Deadpool 2” video seemed like they were unaware the movie itself was already making fun of superhero movies, and such. The movie was more self-aware then they were.

Thing is hes also like cinema sins He has dumb nitpicks but actual complaint being put in so it’s hard to tell what is actually trying to do. And I think some of its videos have even contradicted the idea that the just for laughs. Also I can definitely tell that the editorial videos where he talks about things like method acting are not done for laughs

I think he even admitted like the AVGN his reviews are just meant for humor, and not meant to be taken as legit, or something people should use to judge movies for themselves.
 
I think Doug even admitted he liked the old goofy AoStH Sonic cartoon, despite his NC character acting like it was the worst show ever.

He obviously just wants to do sketches now but Because his actual sketch show failed he turned his review show into a sketch show.  
I’m not watching the review but aparently it starts with a 6 minute sketch

Truthfully, I don’t even think he’s a very good critic recently. (Not even sure if he is a legit one, seeing as he’s a humor/satirical one) Seeing as the NC actually made movies like Disney’s “The Black Cauldron” & “Deadpool 2” (both of which I liked) look worse then they actually are. So I wouldn’t base all my prejudgments on his satirical reviews.
 
The film just looks like a mediocre family movie is all. So I admit perhaps it’s not great anyway, but other recent reviews the NC seem a li’l too harsh. Meanwhile, some like “Langoliers” probably deserve it. (And with that, at least he found the bad acting enjoyable.)

I’ve never seen this movie and I was never aware that it had My Little Pony in it until I watch the recent Nostalgia Critic episode of it. But after watching his review, I’m glad I didn’t see it.

Not me. I would have been laughing if that happend.  
Its sad that everyone is perfectly fine if something bad or unfortunate happens to Celestia, yet these same people throw a tantrum if the exact same happened to Luna.

Can you imagine if Cena did this wearing a Luna or Starlight shirt? With all due respect, much of the fandom would be seeing red.
