Description

Just a test image, trying out a new way to do hair, which I can post about if anyone is ever interested. Also messing about with using Eevee and Cycles in parallel, which effects how I have to design my materials. I’ll probably do something more with her soon.

And yeah, that’s the same type of magician’s outfit that everyone and their dog puts Trixie in. So sue me. ¯*(ツ)*/¯

Yeah. Cycles is the engine that actually approximates actual light interacting with objects, but it slower. Eevee works more like a modern game engine, so it isn’t as physically accurate (and usually not as good looking) but is massively faster.

The cycles image on the left took about 28 minutes to render, because it is at a stupidly high resolution. But for comparison, the image on the right took Eevee a minute and a half to render at the same resolution.

So which one you use depends on what you are doing and how you want it to look.
