I dont have an issue with gay representation. It’s not appealing to homosexual viewers, its appealing to the masses of hypocrites who can’t think for themselves, hate stereotypes with a burning passion then scream “yay representation” when a character is actually stereotyped as gay. Even Faust said herself that RD being gay is dumb and just reducing her to a “tough girls are actually lesbians” stereotype.  
But what would I know, I can’t argue with shippers due to the amount of mental gymnastics they will go through to justify garbage writing simply because it appeals to their fetish.

I do see the arguments that it’s too stereotypical, but at the same time I have a really hard time believing there’d be any circumstance where they’d be roommates and NOT a couple.

This is cute whether it’s canon or not; I’m glad it’s up to us to decide.

Shipping is fun, but I prefer to think they were friends at the end. It feels kinda sad for their characters to think otherwise. AJ as family oriented pony will never have her own foals, and Dash from fighting a stereotypes become one. I’m glad they let us speculate and not in face answer.

I’m torn, my top 2 favorite ponies appear to have hooked up and yet it feels too… stereotypical I guess?

I’m a firm believer that they are not together, but really close.
