I like to encourage players to make things that can help them in the adventure. Sometimes these inventions get a reputation when they become reoccurring tools. Switchblade: To match your IQ. I’m a mechanic, not a mage.
DM: Heehee, no loot for you all.
Switchblade: Wait… Magic-powered devices are volatile, right?
DM: Yeah, so?
Switchblade: So… Glue, plus terminal, plus landmine, equals instant door opener! Apply shotgun liberally!
Doc Wagon: Switch, wait!!
SFX: (KA-BOOM!!)
DM: Sigh, must you always blow up my dungeons?
SwitchbladE: Don’t care, got Sparkle Soda.
