Each of them expresses a different emotion: fear, despair, vengefulness. The one thing none of them expresses, and the one thing that could have saved them, is honest and true repentance.
 
I maintain my theory that The Ending of the End, and The Last Problem, are collectively an allegory of the book of Revelation, whether the writers meant it that way or not.

I kinda thought them learning to get a long with each other was gonna be the catalyst for them all being reformed. Like if Grogar was real and they felt threatened by him and had to form an alliance with the main heroes and they finally let it sink in what friendship is all about.

People always bring up ‘Discord was willing to change’ as if he didn’t have a Harmony shaped gun to his head when he was freed to be reformed. Shame too how so many want to see their real world cynicism in a fantasy show about friendship and ponies but for better or worse this show has pandered to an older audience as the show went on anyway. I’d rather stick to fantasy in the fantasy show.

It will only take Cozy’s parents to unfreeze these three.

Now Discord have to get rid of the bodies by throwing them in the ocean.

It’s too bad that the CMC used up the wishes on that magic flower a few episodes before then or they could have used them to reform these three. Or at least two of them if you can’t get away with wording a single wish to cover all three.

They didn’t even understand friendship.  
Their ‘friendship’ is basically a temporary alliance where you keep trying to one-up each other and stab each other in the back until one stands supreme over the others.  
That is not friendship by any definition and I pity anyone who thinks that is friendship.

Because Starlight showed regret and was willing to change.  
Because the changelings showed they were willing to change.  
Because Discord showed he were willing to change.
 
Literally every reformed villain showed they were willing to change. Was there setbacks? Yes, major ones.  
But Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy never showed any willingness to change. Tirek kept up his malicious acts even from Tarterus by helping Cozy Glow.  
When Cozy Glow was caught, she didn’t even try. She went straight for the “FRIENDSHIP IS POWER! AND I WANT POWER MORE THAN ANYONE!”  
Chrysalis straight up rejected the help Starlight offered her. She rejected the idea of change and the idea of friendship on multiple occasions.
 
So no. the show does not have a ‘purpose’ of changing unwilling enemies. They only try to redeem those who actually are willing to change and willing to try. Those who are unwilling? Like Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy and Sombra? Like the Storm King? They can get fucked, because they will not change. They will not take the challenge of becoming a better being.  
So I ask you, no implore you: Watch the show again and actually pay attention instead of living in your little fantasy world of denial where you think all villains deserves to get redeemed.

How come that all the changeling army was reformed instead of taking them out along with Chrysalis at the end of season 6? Why didn’t Starlight and her friends just finished off Chrysalis when they had the chance in the season 6 finale instead of giving her a chance to redeem? Why Discord was given a second chance in the season 4 finale when he teamed up with Tirek to take over Equestria?
 
No, this entire show’s purpose is to show that anyone can change, hence the title “Friendship is Magic”. The fact that Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow just got destroyed without the chance to redeem, goes against the show’s nature. If they are gonna punish them, then at least give them a chance to redeem. If they refuse it, then it’s clear to punish them.

Being capable of true friendship does not, by itself, make you a good person. Without other virtues, friendship simply makes you more dangerous. Like turning the local Team Rocket into an Avengers Level Threat :P

Nah, until they got there hooves/hands on literally ALL the power, they seemed well on their way to understanding friendship… and literally nothing else.
 
Frankly, that made them the perfect foils to the Mane 6; proof that friendship by itself is amoral (Evil people have those they are willing to die for, yet that doesn’t stop them from gleefully destroying and ending lives) and needs to be to be something greater (that is, Harmony) to truly be a force of good

I understand everybody’s opinions on the fates of these three but since I never asked for Discord to be redeemed, I thought it would have been a fair trade-off if we got Chrysalis (and her friends) redeemed as well. That’s why I’m strongly against this choice the finale made.
