I guess what I was trying to say was “do I find horse genitals objectively ugly?” No, but neither do I find them at all erotic in the slightest. (And don’t even get me started on “crotchboobs” unless you’ve got a bucket)
Actually, the Ponies on My Little Pony appear not to have genitals at all. If they do, they are hidden by their coats. So,if they have genitals that are hidden by a part or cleft in their coats, then, by your reasoning, their genitals would be far more like the next closest animal, which, based on skull shape and the ability to talk, is human. And while not a perfect fit, human female genitals clearly lend themselves toward this physiology. Equine genitals do not.
There are plenty of explicit images on this site depicting Ponies pulling aside their coats between their legs and exposing their vaginas. The genitals in these images are inevitably tagged as human and in most cases, they clearly are. Furthermore, if the mare removes her hoof, it’s clear their coat would come together and close over their vulva, thus hiding any evidence of their genitals.
Those are usually tagged “anatomically incorrect.” Ironically, based on skull shape alone, every image should have that tag.
Unless, of course, there are real animated Ponies out there and the show artists had to leave off the horse genitals because it’s a show for the whole family.
I’m working with what I actually see on the show. Should you choose to extrapolate beyond what we actually see on the show, then all bets are off.
If you would like a dissertation on the stallions and their bits, I’ve given wayyy too much thought to that as well. ;)
(Based on all this, yes, the first time we saw, Miss Harshwinny SHE got quite an eyeful of Rainbow who floated less than a foot in front of Ms. H’s face with her legs wide apart.)

Why would a pony, a totally different species, but still having equine roots, would have their genitals shaped closer to humans than equines? That makes no sense to me. And everything is beautiful in nature anyway. Ponies are perfect being anatomically correct. Though I admit that some artists can make non-equine genitals look well enough on ponies to overlook it.
