It’s just sad we haven’t got any information about royal sisters’ life in Silver Shoals in episode 26, when Twilight is already grown ruler of Equestria :’(

Shoal, noun: An area of shallow water, especially as a navigational hazard. A submerged sandbank visible at low water.
 
In my headcanon, this “Silver Shoals” is a mystic gateway to the world beyond, Pony Heaven, the Elesyan Fields; a gateway similar but opposite to the gates of Tartarus. It’s where the Alicorns have gone.
 
It’s also the best place to put a retirement community, “Silver Shores,” so that when an oldster pony would otherwise require hospice, they’re carried to the gateway and pushed across the threshold where they regain their youth and vitality forever after.

In Big Jim Miller’s big Twitter Q&A, he said Silver Shoals is a retirement community near Silver Shores. To me that indicates the actress misspoke Silver Shores.

It’s the place mentioned in “The Point of No Return”.

I mean if it’s equivalent to the LOTR elf place, it’s not like Luna can expect them to casually visit, right?

They built a castle and are retiring there. Feel like they lost out in a good story of the two rebuilding there old castle in the Everfree.

I’m 99% sure that this place is Silver Shoals, because Luna said it in s09e01 (after intro). According to MLP Wiki this is other name to Seaward Shoals.

Imagine that hasbro makes it that once they pass down their powers onto twilight, they would die and go above the clouds.

In the Journal of the Two Sisters, Canterlot was mentioned as the city of the Alicorns, pre-existing the pony tribes’ journey to what became Equestria. It’s probable that they, like the elves, left these shores for the far shores as mortal pony history took center stage.

I’m taking it as the equivalent of the White Shores. Im assuming the Pillars also ended up there too (And want to believe that the mane 6 would too when their time is up, being the hobbits of the series for all purposes).

I believe that could be a reference to the White Shores from Lord of the Rings. In LOTH, it’s basically heaven and the home of the Elves

The Elysian Fields, past the Silver Shores, where Applejack’s parents and Granny Smith’s husband are as young and whole as Twilight Sparkle. The opposite of Tartarus, where beings are chained forever to this reality, to time and failing of body and breath.
