Uh, what makes you think “inner city” means “ghetto rat”? Or is that just like, your worst case scenario?
As for the political thing, how so? Cause some folks get offended just by a minority being represented in a show.
There is going to be diversity and representation from the leaks. But, it is also being done by the same woman who helped Lauren Faust create MLP, so it will probably be done well. In fact, every version of the leaks I have read shows the writing will actually be some pretty good stuff.
As a ghetto rat stereotype? Also, I’m not so much worried about them messing up one of these representations so much as I am worried that it’ll be heavily politicized and shoved in your face. Especially with AJ.
Oh, okay. Why does that bug you? Is it that they might really bugger up representing a ethnicity, like Voltron?
AJ does have a pretty cool story arc in G5 though.
Yeah but it’s the diversity of culture/ethnicity/race/gender/etc part that really has me worried. Especially given Megan’s thoughts on AJ and how she wants to change her for G5.
Not sure what about that takes your hope away…we know from Tara Strong the 2021 movie is about the Mane 6, and we know from designs that the Mane 6 are the “mane” focus of the show.
Same DNA of FiM is great, that spark is the most important part.
Meghan helped co-create FiM and was a close friend and confidant of Lauren Faust, so her in charge is as close to FiM as we can hope for.
Cultural diversity is normal. We have cultural diversity now in FiM, and it is a core idea of the series. Different people, different backgrounds, still best friends until the end of time.
New VAs suck, but it is expected.
This is also not entirely accurate to at least well respected versions of the leaks, as it is missing major bits of content that did not happen, like the 2019 film sequel.
I’m going to spoiler this here leaked e-mail due to people possibly wanting to keep G5 a surprise but if this is anything to go by, I don’t exactly have high hopes right now.

True. I dont really know what we are getting, but according to Hasbro, back in February, they are carrying G4 on with stories told in “multiple platforms.” So we could get a full webseries like Cyberverse, or an absolute unit of comics, or even just a whole bunch of little things. I dont think it would be so bad if every week we had comics, shorts, short web episodes, etc…
It’s just not enough though. It would be one thing if Equestria Girls was a full series with 22 minute episodes and 26 episode seasons but it’s just a bunch of shorts.
We do have the comics, EQG, the live show, the manga, all confirmed through 2020 though.
