@Ignorance
think dragons grow up looking somewhat humanoid when they are young and progressively get larger and more bestial as they age. you see elements of his greed form with how his jaw is set.

To be fair Spike has never looked like any other dragons we’ve seen in the show. Like, ever. Even Garble and Ember look nothing like Spike. Maybe Smolder resembles him a LITTLE bit, but well, her design in the final episode looks like they just stretched out her body and left her head exactly the same. She actually looks worse than he does.

I do love the bit they’ve done with Twilight here.

“Twilight will not outlive her friends.”

But the Mane 6 are growing older …

I theorize that Twilight will remain alive so long as she has friends, but that doesn’t mean being her friend will make you ageless in turn. So long as Twilight promotes harmony, friendship and building connections between different points of views, she’ll remain in her prime.

I don’t mind Spiceps, by the by. We’ve seen Spike always wanting to be a humorously bulky super-hero, well now he’s living the life and loving it. You go, our Number 1 Servant mascot little brother.
