I agree with your opinion about Discord, the only thing that would mafe whole finale better and saved his character, would be if || Grogar and Discord were different character andold ram had bit the dust, leaving everything else quite same||, but that’s just my opinion, not sure if even that could’ve saved this.

Discord is literally responsible for Sombra dying and Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow getting petrified and if they had won this after Discord brought them together, gave Tirek a modest power up and told them where to get a super weapon(Tirek drains everyone’s life energy he captures to 50%, Sombra sticks on mind control helmets on drained ponies the good guys can’t harm -> now have an army -> Tirek uses his mass drain on enemy army and is now giant -> Sombra keeps enslaving fallen pegasi/unicorns, with team work of the other three and the army destroys good guys)
 
Discord started a war and not only got off scot-free, he got to decide the punishment and Celestia and Luna seeing the defeated, drained, pinned and enemies that no longer posed a threat smiled at Discord’s idea and turned them to stone.
