If we get technical, Alicorns have also never been stated to be immortal. That was just an assumption by the fanbase.
All we know is that they have very long lives (Celestia is slightly over 1,000 years old), but we know the same thing about Dragons (100 years is just a “nap”).
So for all we know, both races could simply be very long-lived, but with similar overall lifespans.

It’s better the way it is. I saw it centered as I was making it and decided to move it.
The first 3 words make it clear that twilight is talking to spike and the words would only slightly cover his legs not his body so that’s not an excuse either.
But it’s better the way it currently is. Besides, Spike’s body isn’t covered up this way, so you can see what she’s talking about.
When you find out who’s talking in literally the first three words, it’s like a solution to a problem that never existed.
It’s so that you can immediately tell you’re reading Twilight’s words and not Spike’s.
but that is not how you are supposed to make memes. There is literally no reason for it to be off centre.
