I agree, it was really good.  
I really loved that this was less a hard-canon ending, and more a farewell by the crew to the franchise. FIM is continuing. Directly by the comics, indirectly by the new show. But it won’t be the same crew. This was it, and they clearly poured their whole hearts into it. Made me cry my eyes out, and gave their touching final thoughts on what friendship is.
 
My only complaint is that it was too final. The new comic and series are almost unwinding some of the finality. Rather than carry on with the new gen, we are kinda letting “Last Problem” dwell as technically canon but not in a meaningful sense. Like, Twilight becoming a princess and Starlight story changed the show forever. Sunset got a spinoff series.

Sometimes I feel like people use the fact the writers receive a few death threats to distract from actual criticisms.

Internet trolls send death threats all the time though. The excerpt from that one Big Jim showed looked like a copypasta. It didn’t even mention the show, his name, or anything in specific. So it probably literally was a copypasta written years ago.

After 9 Seasons I was really expecting something a lot more stupid. So it didn’t bother me too much. Same situation with the surprise shipping I expected some massively forced “progressive” message to come out of nowhere and smack everybody in the face.

The first three seasons of the show were complete and utter crap. Seasons 4, 5, and 7 were the only good seasons. Like the first three seasons, seasons 6, 8, and 9 were complete and utter crap.

Well, from reports, Hasbro is trying to partner with Netflix. This month, they just moved most of their non-pony animated content to Netflix, which makes sense given that Netflix does not have a real childrens presence.  
The other thing is that newer Hasbro shows like Cyberverse are aired on cable, then uploaded online for free a few weeks later, then later moved to streaming.  
These are toy advertisements,after all.  
They need make sure as many people see it as possible.
