Y’all be taking MLP pretty fucking seriously. Like damn, of course they’ll do questionable shit in the show but it ain’t something worth over thinking for fucks sake. I mean the world is fictional, it runs on a different level than we do. In some alternate timeline, maybe the show is a bit realistic— but we aren’t in that timeline now are we? The show is very saccharine, and it’s gonna play it up a lot.

Didn’t Ahuizotl literally try to kill Daring Do? But it’s OK because he was just trying to stop a thief? Even in (most of) the U.S. that excuse wouldn’t fly.

How about this. Let people enjoy/dislike the episode. I liked it, but I wont lie, it was pretty flawed. Doesn’t take away from the enjoyment in my personal experience. And insulting the staff isn’t any better, seriously you can criticize an episode all you want and insulting the staff won’t make your point any more valid.

I like the part where even after the Daring Do convention, Caballeron still didn’t know AK Yearling was Daring Do, even though they’d gone to her house and seen her change in the S4 episode.
 
I think the writer just read a short synopsis of Read em and Weep and didn’t bother even watching other episodes with the necessary characters.

And ppl still watch it and say its good ?

I mean…this episode has issues so what’s with the tags…

This episode heavily pissed me off for trying to make villains into misunderstood characters, again. It was very lazy and completely made no sense in continuity with previous episodes.  
I really worry the finale will be absolute crap cuz I feel they’ll try to reform the main villains when they don’t need to and shouldn’t be reformed

You’re absolutely right. You cannot reform a villain who has gone too far down the event horizon to be saved! Diamond Tiara is an exception, of course, since she was just a foal.
 
P.S. I’m the OP.

Somehow went from 800 years of sweltering heat to being the protector and savior of the region. Discontinuity was pretty horrible all over this episode. The ending felt slapped together and made no sense.
 
I understand we’re in an age of entertainment where villains with justified or reasonable motives that trigger their actions is the norm, and it’s a good thing. But to turn around and try and make it that everyone is all good and warm and fuzzy inside and everything is just a wave of misunderstandings is like reaching G3 and G3.5 territory.
 
I agree with the OP. There are very few episodes I legitimately do not like and this has become one of them.
