As part of the student six that were humanized when those could like them all especially smolder and yona when Ocellus was that short she was staring at shimmy shake’s cleavage.

I thought about this one last night, and I’m pretty sure the writers decided that having Silverstream as a cheerleader would have been too easy of a solution. She’s already bubbly and outgoing, and they wanted Dash to be presented with a real challenge. So they sent in the tough girl (Smolder), the big girl (Yona) and the shy girl (Ocellus). None of them are what you’d call “cheerleader material,” so having Dash mold them into a squad was probably reasoned by the writers as more fun to watch.

She showed up to tryouts and did a great job, but what she assumed was a cheerleading outfit was actually high quality lingerie. From then on, the other students just couldn’t focus when they saw her, too hot and bothered. She was asked to leave.
 
My other thought was that Gallus and Sandbar had intended to try out for the buckball team, and Silver missed the signups while she was ogling them during workouts.
