Just because I brought up the topic last doesn’t mean I brought up the topic first. I did not come here to discuss either, but I was simply one participant among several in an altered discussion brought up by someone else.
 
I completely agree with you they are not proper topics for this page. I have no intention of bringing up unrelated topics, I would only reply if someone else changed the topic of discussion.
 
And yes, I will avoid going off on a tangent in the future, but I can’t speak for the BP’s who actually caused the divergence in topic. That’s beyond my power.

They didn’t confirm or deny it, so you should be good, unless they outright state they aren’t related in the show or in EQG, or something, which probably won’t happen.

I was about to bring that up. You are kind of destroying your own argument. The X wing series basically explained the process the rebels needed to get control of Coruscant and a large portion of the New Republic…
 
…yet not even a sentence is used in Star Wars 7 or 8 to explain how the setting of the rebellion being weak again, anything regarding Snoke or the evolution from Empire to First Order, or the non existant status of the New Republic being neither Rebellion or Empire, yet having to do with anything except to be slaughtered in the 7th movie.
 
We don’t need X Wing series or the equivalent to be made into a movie or a series, but events during that time DO need to be referenced! Otherwise it feels the 7th movie invalidated all the progress made in the 6th just because JJ only felt comfortable making a rehash script, which is basically exactly what happened.

You DO realize that the lack of clarity of how JJ was unable to explain how Return of the Jedi led to Force Awakens where nothing has changed, the rebelion is the same size after 30 years, and the New Republic’s relationship with the Rebellion and the First Order is (FILE NOT FOUND)… is one of the reasons Force Awakens and Last Jedi collectively SUCK so bad. The Rebellion in the Force Awakens is no better off then they were 30 years ago before the Death Stars were destroyed, and JJ never comes up with even a REMOTE explanation of why that is.
 
He might as well have said “A wizard did it” between movies and magic-ed up new resources and a new sith leader out of thin air.
 
(Facepalm) You basically just threw away your own argument. You used a perfect example of a situation where, if you make a sequel in the future, you DO need to explain, or people will reject the movie in masse…just like Star Wars 7 and 8.
 
Last Jedi fans claim the exact same thing about Star Wars fans who reject the lazy Disney Star Wars movies, that they’re a vocal minority. Yet that lazy indenial argument didn’t stop the mass exodus of mlp fans in the last two years, nor did it effect Solo’s box office despite it not being an awful movie, but just painfully average(with the exception of the fembot, she was Last Jedi levels of awful)

It wasn’t important to address at that time. They were under orders from Chrysalis, she was ultimately defeated, story resolved. With room for additional discussion later if they feel like bringing it up, of course.
 
I mean seriously, you don’t always need to wrap up all those pieces. Return of the Jedi ended on a “yay, we won!” moment without covering how the entire remaining Galactic Empire would be addressed, because it didn’t need to. That aspect wasn’t really the point or a necessary part to show people. If they do stuff with it later, good. If people are compelled to write their own take on it, in either a fan or professional capacity, also good. The story presented is still complete with those details unresolved.
 
Besides, they did address it later. In “Tiple Threat” Thorax talks specifically about a renegade group of changelings who still want to feed off of love, and by the time “To Change a Changeling” comes around he reveals that all the rogue ones have changed except his brother. So presumably the changelings who were away at the time either returned or went rogue, and are now among the “all good” ones like Chrysalis said. Problem solved.

I don’t think it’s badly written at all. And I don’t agree that “most” perceive it that way. A select few definitely do, but I have substantial doubts they’re the majority opinion by any means.

Why not? If a finale can’t explain where established sadistic changelings went to after being introduced in the first half, then the writers simply forgot.
 
Did they disintegrate? Did they reform against their will? These are kind of important details, especially if Chrissy claims there’s no one left. Besides, every one knows how badly written that episode is percieved by most, even the people who don’t personally agree. There’s no reason to tip tap on eggshells that are already shattered to pieces. Don’t make a big deal over it. There are well written episodes and there are badly episodes. Nothing is harmed by acknowledging that.

According to Gameloft, a changeling hid in a present to Pinkie, ambushed and replaced them, then threw a party to do the same for the rest of the Mane 6. Gameloft isn’t usually canon but nothing contracts it this time and it’s the most official explanation we got?
 
I don’t think the explanation how they caught the others will be any more interesting.
 
I’m still curious why Sunburst didn’t get a metal for his part (realizing the infiltration, getting Thorax out) which was as important as the others?
