I agree. Twilight needs to be close to her friends if she wants to rule Equestria with a level-head. Although, I already figured that her friends would be moving to Canterlot with her, as that was sort of implied back in the season premiere.
 
I also agree with Canterlot remaining a city, but the title of Equestria’s capital is passed to Ponyville. Also, it would be a HUGE disappointment if that doesn’t happen.

Well, Sunburst is already very likely moving to Ponyville, to help Starlight run the School, so that’s a given.
 
The biggest flaw I could think of regarding moving the capital to Ponyville is that it’s less naturally fortified than Canterlot, since it isn’t on a mountain… not that it ended up doing it any favors in the end, lol.
 
I think they should go through with making Ponyville the capital, because I’d much rather Twilight be living around her friends, than have the end of it be in Canterlot. She has at least five best friends residing in Ponyville, for crying out loud. I feel like it would be the most natural way to end it, her staying, just like how she did in the series premiere.
 
(Now, granted, regarding Canterlot, I’m not saying it should or will become a ghost town, because aside from the castle being utterly wrecked, there are probably still a lot of structures standing in that city, until proven otherwise. I absolutely don’t think they should Deus Ex Machina a new Canterlot Castle into existence. That would feel too much like a copout.)

Off the top of my head:
 
-Star Swirl, Flash Magnus, and Rockhoof moving into Ponyville to act as advisers to Twilight  
-Sunburst moving to Ponyville to help Twilight run the school (probably as a vice headstallion)  
-Several Canterlot-exclusive businesses transferring down to Ponyville  
-The Royal Guard setting up a base/outpost of some kind near Ponyville’s border, with some guards staying in town to protect Twilight

I agree. While Starlight will be headmare, she won’t have all the weight on her shoulders(So to speak), Ponyville has already been visited by so many creatures that it just seems like a perfect capital for Equestria, I mean so much happened…
 
-Alliance between Dragons and Changelings happened in Ponyville  
-Peace with The Yaks happened in Ponyville  
And so much more.
 
What changes do you see happening to make Ponyville the new capital of Equestria?

Exactly what I’m saying. That way, Twilight’s friends can help her rule Equestria and they don’t have to move to Canterlot. Plus, Twilight can still look after the School of Friendship and Starlight will not have all that responsibility.

Canterlot becomes like The Castle of Two Sisters. Ponyville becomes the new capital of Equestria, makes sense since it now has

Twilight’s Castle
 
Just add some more buildings and you have a brand new capital.

Canterlot is destroyed during the fight with Grogar and the other villains and the capital of Equestria is moved to Ponyville.
 
Also, I spy Windigos in the sky….

Bet the windigoes are what Chrysalis was talking about when she mused about how easy it was to get earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns to turn against each other.

I don’t. They don’t have to rebuild anything in the finale, because they’re not obligated to uphold the status quo, at all (which was something the show didn’t habitually do anyway).

Likely to fight them. Judging by how smart he was presented in the premiere I doubt he’d be dumb enough not to see the Trio’s plan coming.

Its probably grogar, by the shape of the figure and the color of magic, but did he came to fight the main 6 or ask for help?
