@CHAMELEON_BREEZE

but the G4 community is shrinking and will eventually be Dead. Assuming G5 densest come around and prove itself to be good, which i have no faith that it will.

I dont think mlp and any girl toy franchises were designed or intended to be recognizeable or popular for a long time.

I'm back.
There will be G4 content after G4 ends.

I promise.

@ShadeTheRaven

There's also G5. thugh you need to be cautious on that one.

you looking forward to getting the box set for the entire series when it does come out?

@Aknes
it's just that this Generation has already lost it's novelty and has fallen over to the mundane and hasbro knows that.

it's just that you can always come back to a complete series at any time and also. you looking forward to getting the box set for the complete series?

Totally agree with you on your major point, this is only the beginning of a different era of the fandom, not the complete end.

That is very well said. I joined the fandom shortly after season 1 finished (A friend got me into it), and I've still been following it here and there. I've been a bit slow on watching episodes at times, and there are some parts of the fandom that have been in part responsible for why I slowed down on watching it (Got tired of seeing all the porn pop up for the most part ; ), but I can say that I've enjoyed my time with the show, and I still plan on enjoying it even after the final episode airs. There'll still be the comics to look forwards to, so it's not gonna be entirely over :)

@FoldabotZ
though why does it seem and will seem to shrink at this time?

And the last part, that is only if hasbro can do the future gens right, which im not countign on them. G4 would likely go down as the xenith point in the franchise , it was the highest point in the franchise and everything made after it went downhill or lives under the shadow of G4.

The fandom will be the same if not bigger when the G5 fans come in. The thing is that fandoms never die, they grow and change. Look at the fandoms of DC and Marvel and any other property that changes through the years, they've only grown larger. In the case of the Transformers fandom, it's very large just as large as MLP. It's only divided by specific versions of the Transformers: the G1 fans, Beast Wars fans, Movie fans, and Prime fans for example and those different groups still increase even long after the original series ended and will overlap when they're a fan of more than one version. The same is for the MLP fandom, with G1, G2, G3 and 3.5, G4(FiM), and the incoming G5. Fandoms don't die, they grow and change. There will always be G4 fans long after it's ended, because G4 has become one of the most beautiful important versions of MLP and will continue to influence the next versions.

if you can reply back. des that mean that someday and even by the time G5 does come out, if it does this community will have gotten so small, that it's pronounced dead?

I really feel like i shouldn't have joined since its never a good thing to be part of a dead fandom given how empty those places are

I am considering going solo and beign independent of the fandom. any problem with that?

i wonder how big it will be when G5 starts rolling, if ever.

Oh I'm keeping my chin up. You guys do good work, applause all around.

But lets be real. I've seen the stuff from 2012-2014, the community was FLOODING content back then compared to now. The party isn't going to stop the day season 9 ends, but the community has obviously been shrinking for years.

well, fucking duh. of course everyone knows that. you're really exaggerating the reactions of this fandom atm. everyone's got their way of reacting to stuff, not your seriously rude beliefs

@Newman134
uh, you're doing a lot of that right now sweetie.

shrug

I got into the fandom in 2017 so I knew what I was getting into when it came to the fandom. Not my first time riding a fandom into oblivion.

That said, I came into the fandom knowing that I wouldn't be getting too involved with the community, I'd mostly plumb the archives then walk away once the tap slow down enough to lose my interest.

but i dont want to worry or be overwhelmed by everyone's somber and mournful mood when it does. because it's coming, no doubt.

Take it with grace and applaud instead. and at least know that you now have a complete series to come back to at any time when your interest is piqued again.

and should you be sad about it? no! even though the shows have ended, you dont have to necessarily see it as the end of your time as a fan. you can still be a fan of G4 even after it has ended.

And besides, like any show with expansive lore and settings, The Show itself is merely telling the story of a chapter in Equestrian's History. FiM is just telling the story of just another chapter in Equestria's own History. As the Pillars of Equestria and the Founders of Equestria were the Mane 6's precursors and the Student six will take the place of the mane 6. Constants and variables. The Series finale should be seen merely as the ending of another era in Equestria's history. As life goes on. Even in the EqG universe, life would still go in even if the shorts end abruptly or even after it has its own finale (if there is one)

but just because its over doesn't mean that you have to end your love for G4. even though it's over, its not going to magically disappear from existence and you can revisit the complete series at any time
